| Go to San Francisco, down to Chinatown, and tell them you're afraid of the bird flu virus. They will hand you a couple of packages with herbs and say, "This will do the trick." And they're right; it will do the trick. You might look in there and freak out because it might contain something like dried gecko. You might say, "Oh my God, this is medicine?" Yes, it is. It is, and I would absolutely take it.
As you can tell, my advice is: Don't trust the mainstream press on this issue. |
| Take responsibility for your own bird flu prevention
This is my opinion. Conventional medicine and medical authorities strongly disagree. My lawyers always tell me to say, "Check with your doctor. Check with your qualified health practitioner before you do anything." So, you'd better check with them before you do anything about your health. You better check with your doctor before you dare eat mint, because you know, mint can be dangerous. Don't you dare go under the sun unless you've checked with your doctor. Don't even lift a finger; it might be considered exercise. |

And the really smart folks have realized that Tamiflu is a one-dimensional drug in the first place, and that the bird flu could easily mutate to be completely immune to Tamiflu. As Dr. David Butler-Jones, Canada's chief public health officer, said, "Quite honestly, nobody knows at this point whether Tamiflu will be effective at all when we face a pandemic. We may have wasted the money that we bought all this Tamiflu for."
People are suddenly clamoring for natural antiviral products. They want to know what they can buy right now to prepare. |

As of January 1, 2006, all migratory birds will be required to arrive at international airports where Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) personnel will check for proper travel documentation and clear the birds for entry into the United States, provided they are not carrying undeclared fruit, which is even more dangerous than bird flu.
All birds wishing to enter this country will be required to carry passports, proof of immunizations, and entry visas. |

The economic impact of a pandemic
One of the most startling realizations about bird flu is the economic cost of a potential pandemic. Unlike the disease itself, the economic fallout can affect everyone from the smallest Vietnamese farmer to the national economies of the world's largest superpowers.
"Should the flu mutate into a true global pandemic, the economic implications would be profound, potentially reducing energy demand by well over one million barrels per day,"

A lot of people ask me, "So what should I do to prepare for the bird flu pandemic? What's reasonable versus overreacting?" To answer that, let's take a look at the behavior of the general population. Most people will do nothing to prepare until it becomes a problem in their local area. When USA Today or CNN starts warning people about the virus and people start seeing their friends or coworkers die from it, then they will suddenly realize that they need to take some action. At that point, of course, it will be too late. |

So if there is an outbreak of the bird flu virus, the solution is readily available if people would just get the right information. That information should include knowledge about the antiviral properties of these medicinal herbs and supplements. But of course, the public won't ever be told that. They'll be told there's no vaccine and that Tamiflu has run out. This will likely create a sort of panic or even a run on antiviral prescription drugs. |
| REPPED: We've heard some very interesting news recently that countries are stocking up on a bird flu vaccine. And yet the very newspapers in which we see these headlines say the vaccine is currently being beta-tested on small groups of people. I'm curious how countries are stocking up on a vaccine that hasn't even gone through testing yet. Clearly this vaccine isn't in production. How can countries be stockpiling the vaccine if it isn't being produced? |
| Also, Tamiflu isn't necessarily effective against the H5N1 bird flu virus. It wasn't designed for that. It's been around for a long time as a basic antiviral drug, but in my research I've found that there are many other antiviral herbs and substances that are far more powerful than Tamiflu, that don't require a prescription and are much more affordable.
For example, I did a report on a product from Baseline Nutritionals called Super Viragon. It's made of powerful antiviral herbs. |
| My impression of the statements from governments around the world on bird flu is that they are basically designed to calm people down and are largely false statements. I fail to see how any country can be stocking up on a vaccine that doesn't even exist. And those who say they're stockpiling Tamiflu can't possibly have enough Tamiflu to treat any reasonable percentage of the population for very long. They would run out in less than a month, leaving everybody on their own. So, as usual, when it comes to your health, you can forget getting any good information from public sources. |

If this bird flu virus really hits, the hospital beds are going to be full and the drugs won't be there. Everybody will want to help you, but nobody will be able to. We just don't have that much medical bandwidth, that much capacity to treat hundreds of millions of people. We just don't have it. If this becomes a pandemic, it's up to you to take care of your own health and survive it.
The only side effect is enhanced health
Now, let's say all of this discussion is a complete waste of time; all of this is just overblown. |

SARS, revisited
Right now, the H5N1 bird flu virus is poised to follow in the footsteps of SARS. Hopefully, we've learned some lessons from SARS around the world. The statements we're hearing from the CDC and the WHO indicate we have learned these lessons the hard way. People on the inside know that we almost got nailed by SARS. If it had infected the US population, it could have easily killed millions of people. |

And there's the CDC, which has called the bird flu virus the single greatest threat to humanity. That's a serious statement. And that goes right along with the World Health Organization's advice that countries should literally stockpile vaccines for the virus.
And yet, the vaccines aren't even out of the testing phase yet. So how do you stockpile a vaccine when it hasn't been safety tested or approved? Right now, the only thing that countries can stockpile is antiviral drugs such as Tamiflu. |
| There is a real possibility that the bird flu virus could be a bust. Maybe it will never become a pandemic. But history has taught us that the minute we get too comfortable thinking that all the pandemics are over or that we as modern scientists have conquered nature, then nature will turn around and slap us in the face with a hard lesson that wipes out tens of millions of people around the world. Historically, we've seen this scenario return like clockwork. These pandemics occur on a regular, predictable basis. |
| Come to think of it, if the bird flu virus really becomes a pandemic, it could turn out to be a selective killer of millions. With organized medicine basically sidelined by the virus, the people most likely to survive will be those who lead healthy lifestyles to begin with. Let's face it: people who live day to day in an immunosupressed state are basically just asking to be infected or killed by this virus. |
| When a person eats junk food, avoids taking nutritional supplements, refuses to exercise, and keeps popping over-the-counter medications and prescription drugs, they are just as culpable as the bird flu virus itself, in my opinion. I'm tired of hearing people whine about being victims when they won't lift a finger to do a single healthy thing for themselves.
In 1918, during the last major pandemic, at least people had an excuse for being unhealthy. Many lived in extreme poverty. Healthy foods weren't available. Nutrition was poorly understood. |

Being offered a regular flu shot doesn't seem to reassure my patients. bird flu is what worries them. bird flu is indeed a threat—it has shown itself to be a ruthless killer of birds, and it has prompted humans to slaughter millions of birds that could be infected. |

Essentially, the bird flu situation looks to be getting worse. We're seeing more infections in Vietnam and symptomless carriers, and countries are doing little to actually prepare for the virus. They have plans in place and claim to be stockpiling a vaccine that doesn't even exist. The only thing they are really stockpiling is Tamiflu, which is not very effective against H5N1 and will be in short supply if an outbreak actually occurs. |

And the big story on bird flu is simply this: your government cannot protect you from it.
Our President said as much in the November 1, 2005 statement from the White House: "While your government will do much to prepare for a pandemic, individual action and individual responsibility are necessary for the success of any measures. Not only should you take action to protect yourself and your families, you should also take action to prevent the spread of influenza if you or anyone in your family becomes ill."
This is the White House talking, mind you, using phrases like, "... |

While nothing is a 100% guarantee against bird flu, there's no question in my mind that this Super ViraGon product will be substantially more effective than Tamiflu (which is a one-dimensional chemical) or even vaccines (which will probably be in short supply anyway).
Jon Barron's formulas are also extremely high in potency. I've actually tasted several of his products (like his Echinacea tincture), and I can tell you that these are the strongest herbal tinctures I've ever experienced. Compared to these, a lot of the standard health food store tinctures taste like water. |

A couple of months ago, Jon was considering introducing an improved antiviral tincture product, due to increasing demand from customers concerned about the coming flu season (as well as the bird flu pandemic threat). He recently decided to green light the production of Super Viragon, and the product is launching today. This new product (ingredients are listed below) now joins my list of the TOP TWO broad-spectrum anti-viral products on the market. |
| Make no mistake: the bird flu "panic" is going to bring out a bunch of crooks and hucksters in the herbal supplement market, and there will be con artists selling counterfeit antiviral products just like you see people in the weight loss industry selling bogus hoodia gordonii. That's why I strongly encourage you to stick with companies and products you can trust.
So, to be detailed, my current top-recommended antiviral product is:

| It is your responsibility to prepare for the pandemic
The White House is now urging families to prepare for the bird flu. In fact, President Bush's statement says, specifically, "While your government will do much to prepare for a pandemic, individual action and individual responsibility are necessary for the success of any measures. Not only should you take action to protect yourself and your families, you should also take action to prevent the spread of influenza if you or anyone in your family becomes ill. |

If one individual or one group of people is infected with bird flu, they obviously need to be quarantined for the good of everyone else in the community. What if there's an outbreak in a town? Would the US military quarantine that entire town? Probably, yes. What if there was an outbreak in a school? Could they quarantine that entire school? Yes, absolutely. They not only could; they will do so justifiably. I actually agree with that policy. It basically means you are a prisoner, a medical prisoner, for as long as they decide to keep you and run tests on you to find out if you are infected. |

The official response to bird flu, from virtually every government in the world, is all but useless. Here's the truth about what your government is doing to NOT protect you from this potential devastating epidemic:
Official strategy #1: Hope to manufacture a vaccine that takes three years to produce in quantity. Here's a strategy that just makes no sense at all. Let's ramp up production of a vaccine for an unknown strain of H5N1 influenza and try to stockpile it in sufficient numbers so that some small percentage of the population might someday be protected. |
